Our organization shares a commitment to fostering diversity, inclusivity, and equitable access within our ski and snowboard community. We advocate for diversity and inclusion within the winter sports community, ensuring that people from all backgrounds feel welcome and represented. Skiing and snowboarding are usually not accessible sports due to the entry level cost and the learning curve so ensuring members of our core organization are willing to help those who wish to learn is a large part of our willingness to start this club in additions to simply making space for likeminded people to gather and get outside. Our ski and snowboard club will facilitate collaboration, foster community, and provide opportunities for socializing among graduate students while promoting mental and physical wellness.

The primary purpose of G-SALSA is to promote academic and social networking among graduate students of Latin and Spanish-speaking heritage and to increase the number of Latino/a students on campus. We are interested in disseminating our cultural background and increasing awareness of our presence and value to Northwestern University. The membership of G-SALSA is open to all graduate students at Northwestern University who personally identify with and support the Hispanic/Latinamerican culture. With the foundation of this organization, we hope to provide all G-SALSA members with a friendly environment while pursuing their graduate studies at NU.
